Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Headed to AT&T-Naijaswap

AT&T on Monday announced it will soon be the first carrier in the U.S. to offer the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
The smartphone will hit AT&T store shelves beginning Nov. 8 for $200 with a new two-year agreement or $25 a month on the company's Next plan. The Galaxy S4 Zoom first unveiled in June, features 10x optical zoom, and spin-to-focus manual control ring.
The S4 Zoom looks like a combination of the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy Camera. On one side is the familiar smartphone interface and on the other is a camera with a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor, an optical image stabilizer, and Xeon flash.
"It has the best qualities of the Galaxy S4 smartphone series combined with the best of a compact point and shoot camera," AT&T said.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom includes a 4.3-inch, 960-by-540 display. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 1.5-GHz dual-core processor.
The device includes a feature known as Zoom Ring, which offers up easy access to the phone's key features. If you're on a call and spot something you want to share, for instance, simply twist the Zoom Ring to activate an in-call photo share feature. You can then snap a photo and send it via text to the person with whom you are talking.
"Customers need more and more from their smartphones," Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of devices at AT&T, said in a statement. "With powerful, best-in-class optical zoom, in addition to easy access to day-to-day functions like email, social media and more, we're able to offer customers the qualities they want and need all in one device with the Galaxy S4 Zoom."
