CONFUSION PDP Makes U-Turn On Anambra Election

Following heavy criticisms from well-meaning Nigerians over its unpopular position on the fraudulent election in Anambra State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has made a U-turn on its earlier position on the sham and inconclusive poll which took place on November 16 in Anambra State.

The PDP, through its Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metur, had described the controversial election as free, fair and very credible, and even praised President Gooodluck Jonathan for the success of an on-going election.

But, after Tony Nwoye blasted PDP leadership in Abuja, the party is now singing a new song...
In a chat with Punch in Abuja, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, denied point blank that he ever said the Anambra election was free and fair, but there is video evidence that he indeed said so openly.

Olisa Metuh is now claiming that the party’s position which he expressed on Sunday was just to commend the President for providing an enabling environment for the peaceful conduct of the election.

Olisa Metuh's denial came after the popular masses group in the South East, Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, declared that it would hold a 2-day meeting at its headquarters in Okigwe, Imo State, where it will deliberate on the outcome of the fraudulent Anambra election.

Sources in Abuja say PDP is afraid of loosing the support of MASSOB in 2015, hence the shameless denial.
